Монгол улсын газарзүйн байрлал Монгол улс нь Азийн эх газрын төв хэсэгт (өргөрөгийн 41°35'- 52°09', уртрагийн 87 44'Е -119°56'Е) оршдог. Монгол улсын баруунаас зүүн зах хүртэл 2392 км, хамгийн хойд цэгээс өмнө цэг хүртэл 1259 км. Нийт 1.565.000 км квадрат нутаг дэвсгэртэй. Хойд хэсгээрээ Орос улстай, баруун, өмнөд болон зүүн хэсгээрээ Хятад улстай хиллэдэг. Газар нутгийн хэмжээгээрээ дэлхийд 19 дүгээр байранд ордог. Далайд гарцгүй хамгийн том газар нутагтай улсуудын нэг юм...

2007 оны 7 сарын байдлаарх Монгол улсын нийт хүн амыг АНУ-ын хүн ам тооллогын товчоо 2,951,786  гэж үзэж байгаа бөгөөд энэ нь дэлхийд 138-д тооцогддог. Харин НҮБ нь хүн амыг 2,629,000 хэмээн тооцож байгаа (АНУ-ын хүн ам тооллогын товчооны тооцооноос 11%-р бага). Монголын Үндэсний Статистикийн Хороо хүн амыг 2,612,900 гэж тооцно. Ho Chi Minh was born in Vietnam in 1890. His father, Nguyen Sinh Huy was a teacher employed by the French.
